KIMS College of Nursing aims to be a global leader of Nursing Education and contributing to improved patient care and public health.

  • To prepare nurses who can make independent decisions in hospital nursing services, community nursing services and nursing educational institutions.

Mission

On completion of the four year B.Sc. (N) programme, the graduate will be able to:
  • Apply knowledge form physical, biological and behaviourial sciences, medicine including alternative systems and nursing in providing nursing care to individuals, families and communities.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the factors which affect the health of the individuals and critical thinking skills in providing quality care.
  • Utilize the latest trends and technology in providing health care within the framework of a code of ethics, with professional conduct and acceptable standards of practice within the legal boundaries.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals and groups in order to promote effective interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
  • Demonstrate skills in teaching to individuals and groups in educational, clinical and community health settings.
  • Demonstrate leadership and managerial skills in all the settings.
  • Conduct need based research studies and utilize the research findings to improve the quality of care.
  • To maintain a centre of excellence for the pursuit of higher studies in nursing and act as a pace-setting institution to strive to give direction to nursing, to serve better to the contemporary and future needs of nursing development.
